Overview

‍

Memory Gardens is a blockchain-based platform for the storage and exhibition of digital memories. It utilizes Arweave, a Decentralized Storage Network (DSN), to enable you to protect your memories for more than 200 years. We document special occasions like weddings and family barbecues with photos and films because they are crucial, one-of-a-kind events that we want to remember for the rest of our lives. Memories are some of the most unique pieces of information because they can't be replaced.

The Challenge

When a person dies, their body frequently ceases to function and is subsequently buried. People often forget what their loved ones look like, especially after a significant amount of time has passed.

‍

  -  Many of the videos and photographs  that we create as mementos are disorganized and rarely accessible.

  -  Most individuals save data on the cloud or on physical media that can be lost or destroyed.

  -  Subscription-based cloud solutions do not guarantee your data if you fail to pay your fee.

While these services allow you to view your data, no interaction is permitted.

The Proposed Solution

‍

We've spent the last few months working on an easy-to-use, long-term way to store your memories in a time capsule. Memory Gardens is a web-based virtual reality app that lets you save your memories in an immersive 3D photo album for 200 years. These memories can be about anything, from everyday events to family gatherings to the death of a loved one.

Implementation

We also devised a method to boost user onboarding and make registration simpler for web2 and web3 users. By using magic link, users acquire a token that essentially removes the need for a password; all they need to do to receive magic link is submit their email address during sign-up, and it will instantly sign them in.

Wallet/Payment

The objective was to simplify the on-boarding process for web3 users who are still new and cautious.  We chose Magic since it generates a wallet for consumers using their email address and reduces the initial 4-5 steps required to build a wallet.When users sign in with their email addresses, they are automatically given a unique wallet address.

Payments can be made with credit cards or cryptocurrency when transacting, depending on preference.

Marketplace

The Marketplace is comprised of Spaces and Accessories, Spaces is where the numerous 3d photo albums (buildings) are listed, whilst Accessories include items that will be added to the spaces to complement them, such as a flower vase. The marketplace resembles an e-commerce website in that you may add all desired things to a cart and pay for them at once.  All Items acquired from the Marketplace will be owned as NFTs.
